The Colebrook Area Historical Society hosts  Adair Mulligan's  presentation 'A Walk Through  Time, History in Cellar Holes'. Northern New England is full of reminders of past lives – stone walls, old foundations, a century-old lilac struggling to survive as the forest reclaims a once-sunny dooryard. In this program, Mulligan explores the rich story behind such abandoned places, and shows how one town has set out to create an inventory of its cellar holes, piecing together the clues left behind on the landscape. This  program is made possible through the NH Humanities. Admission free, donations appreciated.

A pair of siblings from London (Ray Milland and Ruth Hussey) purchase a surprisingly affordable, lonely cliff-top house in Cornwall, only to discover that it actually carries a ghostly price—and soon they’re caught up in a bizarre romantic triangle from beyond the grave. Rich in atmosphere, The Uninvited, directed by Lewis Allen, was groundbreaking for the seriousness with which it treated the haunted-house genre, and it remains an elegant and eerie experience, featuring a classic score by Victor Young. A tragic family past, a mysteriously locked room, cold chills, bumps in the night—this gothic Hollywood classic has it all.  Admission $5.

Don Giovanni is the second of Mozart’s landmark collaborations with librettist Lorenzo da Ponte (after The Marriage of Figaro and before Così fan tutte). In it they created a work that has beguiled and entranced in equal measure since its premiere in 1787. Perfectly situated, as no other opera, between tragedy and comedy, this potent drama combines glorious music with a seductive central character who is endlessly fascinating in his complexity. Admission $10/Students $5

Ben Cosgrove is a traveling composer, pianist, and multi-instrumentalist from New England. He performs regularly all over the country, writes scores for films, plays, radio, and television. His “electric and exhilarating” live performances are at once dazzling and intimate: music that has been described as “stunning” and as “compelling and powerful,” all presented with warmth, honesty, and “the easy familiarity of a troubadour.” Ben is returning to the Tillotson Center for a Sunday afternoon concert on the Steinway. Admission $10/$5 Students.
